Went in to address a broken splint, was told by the dentist to review with Periodontist. Separate Perio appointment at same office, was asked to do a perio scraping and told the tooth in question can be splinted as it didnt look like the tooth was broken, just loose in the socket. Both dentist and periodontist had same conclusion. Was told a week later that a full splint needed to be put in place. I just wanted the tooth splinted using the bonding material as to not risk damaging or bending the tooth further but was not given that option just the $700 splint and was told my insurance doesnt cover. I later went to a different dentist as I wasn't pleased with the service at Charmony. That dentist took a clear picture of the tooth showing a clear break in the tooth near the bone and was told implant or bridge was best option to not risk infection to bone. Not sure how both dentist/periodontist couldn't figure this out and were giving a course of treatment. Seems like the office manager drives the patient prognosis vs. what that patient requests or is required. Even though the dentist initially said, "yes we can fix that broken splint, lets check to make sure it's not something else." I cancelled my future dental appointment and perio appointments, I was planning to get my implants from here as well but I'd rather find a dentist more concerned with patients and not have to discuss my treatments with the office manager.
